Sustainability Header

mymaga strives to improve the environmental features and performance of its products, as part of its contribution to a sustainable and responsible production and consumption.

Our products are designed and developed taking into consideration their impact on the environment, which we seek to minimize by reducing or eliminating hazardous materials, using fewer resources and reducing energy consumption.

Reducing Hazardous Materials

Plastics greater than 25 grams have no halogenated flame retardants;
No use of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) except for cables;
No use of polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) and polybrominated biphenyl ethers (PBDEs), also known as polybrominated biphenyl oxides (PBDOs);
No use of ozone depleting substances in product manufacturing;
No mercury or cadmium are present in the batteries.

Reducing Energy Consumption

Energy Star compliance;
Low power consumption and switch to hibernation mode.

Using Fewer Resources

Manuals are not printed – they are available digitally on the device and on the website;
Rugged design ensures a longer lifespan of the devices, avoiding early replacement of parts and repairs.

How you can contribute to a more responsible consumption

Turn down the brightness

Reducing the brightness of your screen will result in a lower energy consumption, which can also save you money on your electricity bills.

Disable unused peripherals

Disable your printer, speakers or external drive when not in use to reduce power consumption. You can keep your peripherals on a single power strip, and switch it off whenever they are not being used.

Switch off your device

If you’re not using your device for a long period of time, turning it off and unplugging it is the most efficient way of saving energy (and money!). Devices consume energy even on hibernation and standby mode – in order to completely cut the energy use, turn them off and unplug them.

Shut down unused/dormant applications

When you close an application, it may still be running in the background, consuming some of your device’s computing resources..They can be manually shut down, which contributes to prolonging the battery life.

Turn of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth when not in use

If you are not actively using your device’s Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection, turn them off when not required.

Switch data sync to manual

An energy saving measure would be switch to manual sync, which can be implemented as or when necessary.
